Letter from the Founder:

To the dedicated voters of Purple Heart Family Support:

Thank you all for your hard work and perseverance. The time spent voting for and spreading the word about Purple Heart Family Support has been truly amazing! I know thousands of hours were spent on this, with much interruption to folks' daily lives. Thank you all for dedicating that time. Together we put so much into this effort and we appreciate the unbridled support so many willingly gave!

We finished 8th, and while we appreciate that Pepsi has invited us back to participate again, we have made the decision not to use staff and our Marine Family’s time this month. We were unable to budge beyond 8th despite thousands of votes being submitted daily, and to expend the same, and possibly even more, resources for another 30 days is something we are unable to do for the month of May.

We will be submitting a new grant request in a couple of months to Pepsi for a much lower amount so we will have a shot at being one of the top 10 winners of the grant. We will keep you posted on the grant application process and will update our VotePurple.com page in the future with our decision.

Thank you all again for your time and energy spent. We will give it another shot for our Wounded Warriors later in the year. In the meantime, we will be submitting grants to private corporations to acquire funding for this incredibly worthy cause. We will remain hard at work seeking funding for Purple Heart Family Support. Our Wounded Warriors and their families need greater support, and we are dedicated to making sure they receive it!

The daily reminder will show up in your inbox providing you with a quick and easy VOTE NOW link ensuring that you don’t miss a single day of voting!

You can vote up to ten times a day for ten different ideas. Although we encourage you to vote for other ideas, we would like to ask that you vote only for Purple Heart Family Support in the $250,000 category. There are some amazing ideas out there worthy of your support for the month of April!

Spread the word to your family, friends, co-workers, members of organizations and churches you may belong to, and, of course, in your social networking groups such as Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter. If you're a blogger, we'd appreciate a shout out in there each day as well. Posting on message boards, where permitted, would be a great way to spread the word too!

Sign up to receive our reminder in your email each day (see the beige box to the right), then click the VOTE NOW link to to cast your vote, every single day.
