Since our Purple Heart Family Support Program began in 2007, our volunteers have served over 6080 meals to Wounded Warriors and their family members at a cost of over $45,748. The program began in early 2007 at Bethesda Naval Hospital. In December, 2008 we added meals at the Wounded Warrior Barracks of Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA (a/k/a “Balboa”). Our Purple Heart Family Support numbers have grown each year; as the numbers below show:
